Safranal is een bioactieve stof die van nature voorkomt in saffraan, de gedroogde stampers van de Crocussativus-bloem. Het staat bekend om zijn karakteristieke aroma. Naast safranal zijn ook crocine en picrocrocine actieve bestanddelen van saffraan.

Safranal (saffraan) helpt om een positieve ingesteldheid te behouden. Dit maakt het een ideaal ingrediënt in supplementen die gericht zijn op het ondersteunen van mentaal welzijn.

Safranal (saffraan) helpt relaxatie te bevorderen. Dit effect wordt toegeschreven aan de specifieke bioactieve eigenschappen van safranal die in het lichaam bepaalde processen ondersteunen.
